Finance Manager - 3 or 4 days per week

Connected People is honoured to be partnering with Nova for Women and Children, a well-respected Newcastle-based for-purpose organisation that provides essential services to women and children experiencing homelessness or domestic and family violence. Nova offers a wide range of support, including crisis accommodation, transitional housing, and outreach services, all with a focus on empowering women and ensuring safety for those in need. Their team is dedicated, compassionate, and committed to making a tangible impact in the community.

The Role: As the Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial management of this impactful organisation. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Financial reporting and board reporting
• Managing month-end processes
• Supporting financial decision-making alongside the CEO
• Overseeing business operations like insurance, fleet and IT
• Identifying and implementing process improvements and streamlining financial operations to enhance efficiency

The Details:

• Part-Time: 3 or 4 days per week (hybrid)
• Location: Newcastle CBD
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility offered)

What We’re Looking For:

• CPA or CA qualified
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role
• Not-for-profit experience is highly desirable
• A warm, compassionate individual who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment
• The role is designated for a female under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act
