Inhouse Conveyancer / Property Lawyer / Conveyancing Paralegal

Connected People is partnering with a large and highly regarded Newcastle-based for-purpose organisation to recruit an experienced property professional to join its collaborative in-house team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Conveyancer, Property Lawyer or experienced Conveyancing Paralegal looking to move in-house and work across a genuinely interesting and varied portfolio of property matters.

Rather than high-volume residential conveyancing, you’ll be involved in a broad range of interesting and often complex property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences, easements, covenants, subdivisions and other property dealings. 

You’ll join a fun, collaborative and supportive team environment, with the flexibility to work three days in the office and two days from home.

The Role:
Working as part of an established in-house team, you will manage and support property matters from commencement through to completion.

Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Managing property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences, easements, covenants and subdivisions;
• Coordinating settlements, registrations and property documentation;
• Undertaking property and title searches and investigating land ownership and historical property interests;
• Reviewing title issues, easements, covenants, restrictions and other land-related matters;
• Assisting with legal and commercial due diligence;
• Reviewing, preparing and administering property-related agreements and documentation;
• Liaising with external solicitors, conveyancers, surveyors, valuers, planners and other specialists; and
• Providing practical advice and support to internal stakeholders on property matters. 

There is also the opportunity to become involved in broader property governance, compliance and regulatory matters, making this a particularly interesting role for someone wanting to broaden their experience beyond traditional conveyancing. 

About You:
We are open to candidates from a range of property backgrounds. You may be a:

• Conveyancer (Licensed or not);
• Property Lawyer;
• Experienced Conveyancing Paralegal; or
• Property professional with strong experience across conveyancing, property transactions or land administration.

You will ideally have strong property and conveyancing experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters and stakeholders.

You'll be someone who enjoys investigating more complex property issues, can work autonomously when required and equally enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
