Following a series of strategic internal projects and a move into a newly fitted-out office, the firm is now seeking an experienced Practice Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting their people, projects and operations as they scale into 2026 and beyond.
The Role Reporting directly to the Partners, you will take ownership of the firm’s day-to-day operations, people leadership, financial processes and compliance, enabling the legal team to focus on delivering excellent client outcomes.
You will be highly visible, trusted, and empowered - ensuring deadlines are met, workflows are followed, issues are resolved quickly, and the team feels supported, informed and aligned.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure the practice runs efficiently with minimal disruption
- Maintain and improve workflows, LEAP usage and internal procedures
- Monitor matter progress, deadlines and task management
- Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements
- Act as the go-to person for systems, processes and day-to-day problem solving
- Oversee billing, WIP, aged debtors and monthly reporting
- Manage accounts receivable, payable and payroll
- Daily trust account reconciliation and compliance
- Prepare P&L, BAS, budgeting and forecasting reports for Partners
- Ensure billing accuracy and timely invoicing
- Lead, support and develop the team to perform at their best
- Manage recruitment coordination, onboarding and HR administration
- Supervise trainees and virtual assistants
- Hold regular one-on-one meetings and address issues proactively
- Facilitate weekly team and leadership meetings
- Ensure compliance with NSW legal, trust accounting, WHS and privacy requirements
- Maintain up-to-date procedures and policies
- Identify and resolve compliance issues promptly
- Maintain high client service standards across all matters
- Oversee consistent communication and service delivery
- Support branding, marketing and business development initiatives
- Build strong relationships with clients, courts and external stakeholders
- An experienced Practice Manager or senior legal operations professional
- Highly people-focused, with confident leadership and communication skills
- Naturally organised, proactive and solutions-driven
- Comfortable overseeing financials, trust accounting and reporting
- Tech-savvy, with strong LEAP and systems capability
- Calm under pressure, with excellent judgment and initiative
