Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Senior Financial Accountant (ideally 5+ years) to join an established business with multiple entities in the Lake Macquarie region.

The Role
Great opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of hands-on financial accounting, reporting and compliance across a multi-entity organisation. This role supports the CFO and COO and carries significant responsibility, but does not include people management.
  
This position is best suited to an experienced accountant who enjoys being close to the detail, owning outcomes, and working in the office as part of the leadership support team.
  
Key Focus Areas

• Financial accounting across multiple entities
• Month-end and year-end close
• Management and statutory reporting
• Tax compliance (BAS, PAYG, FBT, Payroll Tax)
• Asset and capital accounting
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis support

Ideal Candidate

• CA / CPA qualified (desireable)
• 5–10+ years’ financial accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting and compliance background
• Experience in multi-entity or complex environments
• Comfortable working onsite and being operationally involved
• Strong Excel and systems capability (MYOB Advanced desirable)
